It’s no secret that we love the Yacht Week Collective. It’s our family on the water - made up of the people we love most, and who’ve loved us enough over the years to keep coming back.
From time to time, we like to celebrate our Collective - not just with a shoutout, but with a showcase of their unique experiences on the water. In their own words. For the first edition in this series, we reached out to one of the Yacht Week GOATs: Corie Fay.
"I first heard about Yacht Week back in 2014 from some of the older sailors I grew up with— they were always swapping stories about these legendary summer flotillas in the Mediterranean.
The way they described it, I knew it was something I had to experience for myself. While I’d spent years racing dinghies at university, Yacht Week was a whole new world of sailing, and it wasn’t until I finally made it to Croatia that I truly got a taste of it."
"It’s so hard to choose just one. Watching the sunrise from the bow with my crew after an incredible night is definitely up there—the stillness of the morning after all the festivities, the colours lighting up the horizon, it was perfect.
But honestly, nothing compares to a good circle raft. There’s something so special about being surrounded by friends, music playing, everyone in sync—it’s pure magic."
"The people. Yacht Week has introduced me to some of the most amazing, adventurous souls from all over the world. These are friendships that have turned into lifelong bonds, and I feel so lucky to have a global family because of it.
Every trip is a new adventure with new stories, and I’m forever grateful for the endless memories and connections that Yacht Week has given me!"
