Every once in a while, you get a renegade - the girl who eschews golden hues for a lime-green chartreuse shade. A boy who hues his blues - and tones his tees so impeccably - it's a marvel. Add to that the fact that these looks come out at sea, in the gorgeous Med, while riding the ocean on a yacht.
Now that's style you don't see everyday. It's the Yacht life. And we've found looks from over the years that showcase it best.
Imagine the group chat that went into organising this ensemble. You're telling us it was just a coincidence this photo has tonally perfect shades of blue (including the ocean adding its own hues to the mix) PSsshh. We refuse to believe it wasn't a moment of pure coordinated brilliance. First prize.
Oysters, pearls, secrets of the sea, all rolled into a look that transcends fashion - takes an ensemble and elevates it to new heights of chic. Take a bow. You've bent fashion to your vision. And we are better for it.
PS - the bejewelling hasn't gone unnoticed. Bonus points, of course.
Understood the assignment. Made it his own. And showed up looking like a million bucks. It's rare to have someone exude so much confidence in a photograph - they are 'stills' at the end of the day. But something special is happening here, and it can't just be us. There's dynamism here that goes beyond the camera. 10/10.
Shipwrecked sailors over the years will attest - you can't help but give into the song. And we hear it clearly. It's giving magic. Mystery. And deep sea exotic. In a single frame. Every so often you get a level of dedication to our themes that makes them SO much more than the sum of their parts. This right here - well, it's art.
Sea swirls of blue. Bold. Did they pull it off? That's a resounding yes. This gives new meaning to 'double trouble'. If you've read this far, you know we love a coordinated effort. This one takes the cake.
Regattas are more than a yacht race - they give guests a chance to bring their most OTT looks to sea. Here's an example of towing the line between style and wild. It's got the makings of regatta magic, is what we're saying. Take a classic white swimsuit, punctuate it with primary colours. Add gloves. Glorious.
This must be a 'wish to walk on land for a while' situation. Because this duo is convincingly channelling their inner mythological fashionista. This is how you prepare for a secluded bay swim - so that sailors passing by find you sat on a rock and tell their friends. It's how you keep the myth alive, people.
Sometimes, you just have to bow to the majesty of it all. A look that's a feast for the senses. Yes. But the glitter takes it to 11. There's nothing about this image we don't ADORE. It's one that keeps us coming back, and finding something new to marvel at.
There's a rare occasion when less is more. But it's still stylish enough to warrant attention. This is that moment. It helps that this photo was taken mid splash. It adds several points to the score - but not as much as the PERFECT choice of rainbow fish-scale tights.
It's a tie - straight down the middle - for our final spot. How could you choose between these two looks? One is the quintessential Yacht Week vibe - linens, drinks, serious dance floor energy. The other is an example of how fashion, when done right can evoke magic, mystery and moonlight masquerades. This is Yacht Week hall of fame material.
