We are lucky to work with some seriously talented artists and, on occasion, there comes an opportunity to show them off outside of our events. That is why, on the third Friday of every month since May 2021, The Yacht Week has taken over the mighty Data Transmission Radio show for an exclusive hour.
With episode 7 of our radio show having just launched, we thought it was time to do a little TLDR on each installment so far for those looking to get a taste of what they might hear at peak-time, wall-heaving Club 585 in Croatia, or Ostria Nightclub in Greece.
All of these (and more) can be listened back to by checking out TYW Selects. Alternatively, you can check out live-streams from past events featuring Claptone and Gorgon City live from the Circle/Tunnel Raft, as well as our very own Klynk recording from Carpe Diem Beach.
Kicking things off is our resident Australian and Head of Entertainment - Frisky Disco - with an hour of old and new school Disco and House records that would fit in just as well at Studio 54 as it does on the dance floor of Fort George. What better way to kick off the new series than with an hour of Saturday Night Fever. We’re excited, you’re excited, Disco is BACK!
In the best way possible, it is hard to quantify Alex Ebs as an artist because the guy is so damn good. You never know what you are going to get but it is always guaranteed to blow the roof off. Going in a different direction than his beloved Moombah and hip hop, Alex has put together a slammin’ mix of house, tech and minimal that will take you right back to the dance floor at Club 585.
Joining the team in 2019 and having been a regular fixture since, this Swedish superstar is loved by our guests and staff alike. With a predilection for vocals that will have the crowd singing along, thumping basslines and afro beats, Frida Harnesk’s sets are always a high-energy affair and she has the versatility to keep the vibes running all night.
A new addition to our resident lineup in 2021, Sivz brings pure joyful house of all kinds whatever dancefloor she happens to grace. An instant hit at our parties, her hour of 4/4 goodness will take you right back to the waters of Croatia. Sun out, hats on, drinks full, Buzz Boat primed - good times ahead.
Formerly known as Bladtkramer, there is not much more praise that we can give this bloke that has not been said before. As one of our longest-running residents and most beloved members of the crew, Mads’ performances are always a masterclass wherever he plays. Launching a new alias Klynk in 2020, these days the first of our featured Danes is our resident techno, minimal and breakbeat expert with production and performance credits to match.
A new addition to our lineup in 2022, we couldn’t wait until the summer to hear Yidah rip some tunes so she very kindly put this hour together for us. Having moved from Trinidad & Tobago to London in recent years, Yidah brings a uniquely Caribbean spin to her sets while also taking influence from UK house, disco and hip hop scene(s) having called London her home since 2020.
If latin and afro vibes are more your speed then long-time TYW superstar Milo S has you well and truly covered. Making his mark on the European club scene over the last decade, the Danish lad stands out from the ever-growing crowd with impeccable song selection, a deep-seated knowledge of all things house and a smile that brightens up any venue he plays!
